X-rays are an essential tool for helping us treat your child. X-rays help us see areas between the teeth and under the gums. The benefits of digital x-rays are: significantly reduced radiation, instant viewing of the radiograph, and the ability to enlarge the radiograph to better educate our patients. The need for dental x-rays depends on each patient's individual needs. Based on your child's medical and dental history, dental exam, signs and symptoms, age, and risk of decay, we will determine when x-rays are recommended.
