Pediatric Dentistry

Providing Specialized, Compassionate Pediatric Dentistry

When it comes to your child’s oral health, choosing the right pediatric dentist ensures that they receive specialized care suited to meet their unique needs. Many family dentists don’t treat children until they are five or six years old, and that might be too late to minimize potential problems.

A Gentle Approach for a Positive Experience

Our dentists specialize in treating children and are highly trained and experienced in dentistry for infants, children, and adolescents. We are passionate about helping children preserve healthy teeth and gums and proactive when it comes to managing overall oral health.

You can count on Dr. Dhawan and Dr. Yavari to take a gentle approach and treat your child with respect. At Cumming Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, we maintain a stress-free and upbeat atmosphere. Our team is professional but engaging, and always puts patients’ needs first.

Fluoride and Sealant Treatments for Added Protection

We may recommend fluoride treatment to benefit your child and provide additional protection from tooth decay. Fluoride strengthens the enamel of teeth to make it harder for cavities to form.

If your child needs stronger protection than fluoride can provide, we may suggest dental sealants. This treatment helps shield teeth from decay and is especially effective on back molars and teeth with deep crevices.

Early Orthodontic Intervention

Our team can diagnose orthodontic problems when your child’s jaw is still flexible enough to receive phase one orthodontics or early intervention. Phase one treatment manipulates the jaw and palate to prevent severe malocclusions (bite issues). By receiving early intervention, the need for complex orthodontic procedures later in life is reduced or eliminated.
